Job Description
The Production Supervisor is responsible for production line operations, including safety, quality, line set-up and maintenance, supervision/training of adults with disabilities performing packaging and light assembly and meeting production schedules. He/she must be able to work independently, communicate well with other staff and employees and to provide the support and patient direction needed for our employees to accomplish their assigned tasks. Position reports to the Production Manager.
Job Requirements
Qualifications and Experience: High school diploma or GED required. 3 – 5 years production lead or supervisory experience in a light manufacturing or packaging environment is desired. Mechanical skills and a working knowledge of the set-up, operation and troubleshooting of high speed packaging equipment is desired. Possess a demonstrated ability to run multiple lines. Good communication skills required. Quality control experience helpful. Prior experience working with adults with disabilities is helpful. Flexibility to work 2nd shift, if established is required.
